Ambassadors can mark themselves as Out of Office (OOO) when they’re unavailable for a period of time. This helps set clear expectations for students and reduces unanswered messages.
As an admin, you can see which ambassadors are Out of Office and when they’re due back.
Where to see Out of Office status
You can view ambassador availability in the Conversation Management area of the university dashboard.
To check:
Go to Conversations
Select Manage
View the list of conversations and ambassadors
Ambassadors who are Out of Office will be clearly labelled.
What you’ll see
When an ambassador is marked as Out of Office:
An OOO tag appears next to their name
Hovering over the tag shows the return date
This applies across both student and staff conversations
This makes it easy to understand who is unavailable and when they’ll be back.
N.b Out of Office status is managed by ambassadors themselves and can’t be set or changed by admins.
In Buddies → Manage, use the Status filter to view Ambassadors by availability.
You can filter by:
Active
Inactive
Incomplete
Out of Office
