Becoming a Unibuddy Ambassador is exciting - you’ll be the friendly face (and voice!) that prospective students connect with as they make some of the biggest decisions of their lives. To make sure you feel confident and prepared, we’ve pulled together all the training and resources you’ll need.

Completing these before you start isn’t just a requirement, it’s your toolkit for success. You’ll learn how the platform works, what makes for a great chat, and how to showcase your authentic student experience.

Why Complete the Training?

  • Feel confident from the start: You’ll know exactly how to set up your profile, respond to questions, and use the Unibuddy platform.

  • Give prospects the best experience: A consistent, supportive, and authentic voice makes all the difference.

  • Build valuable skills: Communication, professionalism, and digital confidence you can use long after your Ambassador role.

Your Mandatory Training Resources

Here are the must-complete materials. Please work through them before you begin chatting with prospects:

Join a live session to ask questions, practice conversations, and hear top tips from the Unibuddy team.

  2. Pre-Recorded Ambassador Training
Can’t make it live? No problem - this module covers everything you need to know at your own pace.

  3. How to Join as a Student or Staff Ambassador
Step-by-step instructions to get you set up and ready to go on the platform.

  4. Information You Should Include on Your Profile
A complete guide to building a profile that stands out and helps prospects get to know the real you.

  5. Download the Unibuddy Ambassadir App
Take Unibuddy with you wherever you go, making it easy to respond quickly and keep chats flowing.

  6. What’s It Like Being a Student Ambassador?
Hear from fellow ambassadors about their experiences, challenges, and wins.

  7. Ambassador Help Center
Your go-to resource for FAQs, troubleshooting, and best practices whenever you need a refresher.

Before You Begin

  1. Work through all the resources above.

  2. Jot down questions as you go - bring them to a live session with your institution (if applicable) or ask your University Admin.

  3. Double-check your Ambassador profile is complete and ready to make a great first impression.

Once your training is complete, you’ll be ready to step into your Ambassador role with confidence. You’ll have the tools, knowledge, and support to represent your university, and make a difference to the prospects you chat to!
