What is the benefit of conversation insights and summaries?

We aim to equip you with the resources to effectively showcase student analytics, insights and engagement. This empowers you to take proactive steps to encourage applications, foster engagement, and retain students, ultimately enhancing ROI.

Harnessing the power of conversation insights and summaries reveals the topics students discuss most frequently, allowing you to enhance your student engagement strategies with a deeper understanding of your cohorts and their interests.

By leveraging these insights, recruitment and admissions teams can personalize their approaches, ensuring greater relevance throughout the student journey.

Partner spotlight (conversation insights example)

20% of Business Management students from India are actively engaging in conversations about Accommodations and Careers. These topics are frequently mentioned in discussions with Student and Staff Ambassadors, indicating that Accommodation and Careers are top areas of concern or interest for this demographic.

What do conversation insights and summaries tell me?

  • Gain valuable insights into individual student conversations and key topics.

  • Receive weekly summaries of conversations delivered directly to you.

  • Access conversation data to effectively segment your incoming cohort.

  • Monitor student inquiries in real-time when integrated with your CRM.

How do conversation insights and summaries work?

Unibuddy Chat Premium Plus:

When students send messages through Unibuddy Chat, key topics and trends are tracked and categorized by country and area of study. You can filter this data to view the most popular conversation topics, and click on individual prospects to see a summary of their discussions.

Unibuddy Community:

Unibuddy provides a summary of the most popular conversation trends from the past week. This report highlights key topics students are discussing across Community and with each other, offering valuable insights into what matters most to them.

How can I identify and segment cohorts with conversation insights?

Use conversation insights and summaries to understand what matters most to prospective students. Leverage these data points, trends, and topics from their discussions to craft personalized outreach and recruitment plans.

Conversation insights are tied to specific attributes of each student, including:

  1. Conversations and messages

  2. Area of study

  3. Country of origin

Within these attributes, topics and subtopics like “careers,” “accommodation,” and “campus life” are generated. You can view which topics are discussed most with a percentage tracker, and filter or export this data as a CSV. Individual-level conversation summaries can also be exported for each prospect by simply clicking on the student.

This comprehensive analysis allows administrators to take a more informed approach, prioritizing prospective students who need targeted information.

For example, you might discover that 20% of prospective students from China interested in Business and Management are asking about employability. In response, you could send them an email sequence sharing alumni success stories about career outcomes after graduation.

What actions can I take with conversation insights and summaries?

  • Organize special events and webinar series focused on the most frequently discussed topics, ensuring students feel supported and that their journey is personalized.

  • Analyze popular topics from the past month and compare them to previous cycles to identify key trends in student conversations throughout the year.

  • Combine individual student insights with aggregated data by funnel stage to better understand evolving student needs as they approach the application process.

  • Conduct A/B messaging tests in campaigns aligned with these themes to enhance engagement and attract more prospects.

  • Hold weekly review sessions with a cross-functional team to discuss changes and integrate new themes into your recruitment strategies.
