If your university has set up a Community, you’ll be invited to join it. All Communities are invite-only to make sure you have a safe space to connect with classmates.
🔑 Already have a Unibuddy account?
If you’ve used Unibuddy before (for example, to chat with a student ambassador), you do not need to create a new account.
Instead:
click Login rather than Create your account
sign in using the same email address and login method you used previously
For example, if your invitation was sent to your personal email address, do not sign in using a different Google or Apple account, as this can create a duplicate account and prevent access to your Community.
Forgotten your password? Use the Forgot password option on the login page. If you don’t receive the reset email, please check your spam or junk folder.
🆕 New to Unibuddy?
Create your account using the same email address where your university sent the invite. This ensures your account links correctly to your Community.
⚠️ Invite link expired, invalid, or seeing an error message?
Please check:
you are signing in with the same email address your invite was sent to
you are logging into an existing account if you already have one
your invitation link has not expired
If your link has expired, or you need the invite sent to a different email address, please contact your university directly and ask them to resend it.
If you previously deleted your account and want to rejoin, reinstall the app and request a new invite from your university. Use the same email address associated with your previous account where possible.
For privacy and security reasons, Unibuddy Support cannot send or resend Community invites on behalf of universities.
🔄 Deleted account or changed email address
If you previously deleted your Unibuddy account:
you should log back in using the same email address originally linked to your account
using a different email address may create a duplicate account and prevent access to your Community
If you no longer have access to your original email address, or need to join using a different email, you’ll need to contact your university directly and ask them to send you a new Community invite.
For privacy and security reasons, Unibuddy Support cannot send or resend Community invitations on behalf of universities.
🛠️ General troubleshooting
Restart your device.
Delete and reinstall the Unibuddy Student app from your app store.
Log back into the app using the same email address you originally used for Unibuddy.

🌅 Previously joined a Community?
Communities are usually tied to a specific academic year or intake.
If you joined a Community previously, it may have been deactivated by your university. If a new Community has been created, you’ll need a new invite from your university.
For privacy reasons, Unibuddy Support cannot send or share invites.
🙋🏽♀️ Already part of another Community?
You can use the same Unibuddy account for multiple Communities.
Once logged in, go to the Home tab and use the arrows at the top of the screen to switch between Communities.
🙏 Haven’t received an invite yet?
Please contact your university directly, as only they can issue Community invitations.
Once you have the correct invite and login details, you’ll be ready to connect with your future classmates.
