How to add Ambassadors to your Discover platform?

Written by Laura Hillman

Showcasing your Student Ambassadors across our Discover partner platforms is a great way to expand your reach and generate leads, with minimal effort.

Why Display Student Ambassadors on Discover Platforms?

  1. Boosts Engagement and Conversions
Students are more likely to engage with your institution when they see approachable ambassadors available to chat. That interaction can tip them from interested to applying.

  2. Extends Your Reach Beyond Your Own Website
Discover platforms are where students are actively researching and comparing options. Featuring ambassadors there ensures your university’s voice and personality stands out early in the decision-making process.

  3. Builds Trust and Transparency
Having student voices visible on third-party platforms signals openness and confidence in your student experience. This builds credibility with prospective students (and their parents).

  4. Creates a Seamless Student Journey
Instead of waiting until a prospect lands on your website, ambassadors can be part of the discovery phase. That consistency - from first research through to application - makes your university feel more accessible and supportive.

So, how do I set up an integration between Unibuddy and my Discover partner?

First things first, you'll need to set the integration up. This is very easy to do - you just need to contact your Discover partner account manager. Your Discover partner account manager will handle the necessary set up, including contacting us at Unibuddy to switch the integration on.

How do I add my Ambassadors?

In order to add Ambassadors to your chosen Discover platform, see the instructions below:

  1. Log into your University Dashboard.

  2. Click on the Discover prompt, then select Ambassadors from the drop-down menu.

3. On the right-hand side of your Ambassador list, use the toggles to select which Ambassadors you would like to appear on your chosen Discover platform.

It really is as easy as that! You are able to remove Ambassadors from your Discover platform by visiting the Discover > Ambassadors tab in your University Dashboard and toggling the Ambassadors off.

You can also view Analytics related to your Discover ambassadors, under Discover > Analytics.
