There are a few common reasons why a Student or Staff Ambassador might have difficulty uploading content.

Before a blog post or video can be uploaded, all required fields must be completed, including:

  • Title

  • Topic

  • Cover photo

If anything is missing, the upload won’t save.

If you don’t see a Topic that fits your content, please reach out to your Admin as they can add a new Topic for you.

Make sure your cover photo is a high-quality JPEG, PNG, or GIF file.

Uploading video content

If you’re adding a video, please note:

  • YouTube Shorts aren’t supported

  • Only standard YouTube video links will work

If you’re using YouTube:

  1. Open the video in a browser

  2. Copy the full YouTube URL (not a Shorts link)

  3. Paste it into your video post via the Ambassador Dashboard on desktop

Please note that Admins can’t upload videos on behalf of Ambassadors, videos must be uploaded from the Ambassador account.

Seeing “Error 153” on an existing YouTube video?

Check the following:

  • Is the video still visible on your Ambassador profile?

  • Does the video thumbnail load correctly?

If the video looks fine but you’re still seeing Error 153, try:

  • Clearing your browser cache

  • Using a different browser

  • Checking from another device, if possible

If the issue continues after trying these steps, please contact Unibuddy Support and include a screenshot if you can.
