How should I record a video?
You can use the Ambassador App to create and submit video content. Only ambassadors can upload video content, ensuring the authenticity of shared materials.
Most smartphones or tablets will be able to record high-quality footage and capture good audio. Not only that but using a smartphone will allow you to film on the go and without the need for any special equipment.
There are a number of free editing apps - including Filmmaker Pro, iMovie, and Pocket Video. Each app offers something different, so find the one that works best for you.
How do I upload video content?
Only student or staff ambassadors can upload videos.
To upload a video, you can use the Unibuddy Ambassador App. Simply click on 'Create' - this will give you the option to either create a new video, or to upload something you recorded earlier from your video library.
If you are a University Admin and would like to contribute your own video content, consider collaborating with an ambassador or creating a staff ambassador account to upload curated short-form videos.
đ„ PLEASE NOTE: Only videos that are less than 90 seconds can be uploaded via the Unibuddy Ambassador App.
Alternatives for official university content
University Admins who wish to share video content but lack direct Ambassador upload permissions can:
Create an Ambassador Account:
Admins can create a student or staff ambassador account using a different email address to upload videos.
Collaborate with an Ambassador:
Admins can provide the desired video content to an Ambassador and request them to upload it on their behalf, ensuring professional and authentic presentation.
