Training Ambassadors

Students are passionate and intelligent people, familiar with their university, social media, and online engagement, but they will each have their own perspective on what is appropriate when communicating on Unibuddy. Good training, guidance and supervision will ensure that the Unibuddy initiative runs smoothly and that your ambassadors have the very best experience. With that in mind, Unibuddy can offer the following resources:

Ambassador training guide

Our Ambassador training guide covers all the basics such as:

  • Profile creation

  • Answering questions

  • Writing blog posts

  • Safety online

  • Ambassador responsibility (regarding consumer protection and the CMA)

You may want to supplement this guide with some further information specific to your university. Perhaps an FAQ guide on topics such as accommodation, applications, sports facilities, etc that is specific to your university.

Ambassador training video

We’ve also produced a short video on how to be a great Unibuddy, which includes hints and tips on messaging style and engagement.

Ambassador training presentation

Our ambassador training presentation is comprehensive and interactive. It covers ambassador responsibility, do’s and don’ts, common questions, messaging styles, and troubleshooting. We offer ambassador training services for all of our partner institutions and are available to provide support and guidance throughout the ambassador setup process and beyond. Our training materials can also be used or amended by universities to suit their students.
