In 2025, we redesigned and relaunched the Unibuddy Ambassador app: creating a single, unified platform for your ambassadors to manage all of their activity.
From messaging prospective students to contributing to Community and creating content, everything now happens in one place.
This means that they have one app, one login, and an even more streamlined experience.
✨ What can Ambassadors do in their Unibuddy Ambassador app?
Here’s how the Ambassador app makes it easier for your Student and Staff Ambassadors to engage with prospects and manage their tasks across Unibuddy:
Unified app: All Chat and Community conversations are in one place, ensuring faster and more efficient responses.
Community access: Ambassadors can join Spaces, post, and switch between Communities seamlessly.
Content creation: Ambassadors can film short-form videos that showcase authentic student life at your institution, and write engaging articles.
Prospect Chat management: Open conversations are easier to track and resolve.
Transfer conversations: If an Ambassador can’t answer a question, they can transfer the chat to another Student Ambassador , a staff member, or an Admin instantly.
Saved Answers: Ambassadors can use pre-prepared responses to common FAQs, reducing response time and improving consistency.
Time tracking: Students can record and track their Ambassador hours - including Research Time and time spent in Community - directly in the app, giving you clearer oversight.
🗓️ When can Ambassadors use it?
The Unibuddy Ambassador app is live now!
If Ambassadors already use the Unibuddy Ambassador app, they will be good to go.
If they previously used both the Unibuddy Ambassador app (for Chat) and Unibuddy app (for Community), they’ll only need the Unibuddy Ambassador app moving forward.
New, or Community-only, ambassadors can download the Unibuddy Ambassador app directly from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

📋 Anything I Need To Do?
This was a seamless change - the Unibuddy Ambassador app download links remain the same, and all Ambassadors will have received prompts to ensure they are using the correct app.
Just a couple of notes to ensure nothing is missed:
If your Ambassadors were using the Unibuddy student app for Community in the past, you will need to direct them to the Unibuddy Ambassador app
Update download links in any training/onboarding materials or communications you provide to Ambassadors.
Previously, time spent in Community wasn't logged in Ambassador Timesheets. With everything being combined into one Ambassador app, time spent on the app can now be tracked across products. This means you will be able to track their input accurately.
Please Note: Ambassador time spent in Community is only tracked on the Unibuddy Ambassador app. Time spent in Community on desktop/web browser cannot currently be tracked.

By unifying everything into one app, we can cut down on admin time, improve efficiency, and help ambassadors focus on the conversations that matter.
