As a University Admin you will be able to access all of your institution's Communities with your Admin credentials.
This gives you the option to monitor posts and activity within your Community, or even maintain a more visible presence - answering questions, engaging with incoming students, or sharing announcements.
I have set up a Community, how can I access it?
To access your Community, follow these simple steps:
Log into your University Dashboard.
Click Community in the left-hand navigation menu.
Click on the Community you'd like to open.
Select Open Community in the top right corner.
Log in with your Unibuddy Admin email address and password.
There is a Reset password option, should you need it.
Please ensure that you select Login, rather than Create your account, to avoid sign-in issues.
I have signed into my Community, where else can I access it?
You can access your Community either on desktop or via the Unibuddy app.
π₯οΈ Desktop
Once you are a member of your Community, you can login via desktop browser at the link below. Best practice is to bookmark this URL, for easy ongoing access.
π² Unibuddy App
You can access Community in the Unibuddy app if you prefer to enegage in your Community on the go. You can find the download links below:
When you open the app, simply tap Login, and log in with your University Admin email address and password.
Ensure you log in the same way, with the same login information, each time to avoid creating a duplicate account.
I've logged in, but I'm not in the Community I wanted to see!
When you log into your Community, it will open the last Community you were logged into. This is a user experience more commonly related to Admin users, as you might have more than one Community active at any one time! For student users, this is a rarer eventuality, only 7% of student users are in a Community for multiple institutions.
To switch to the Community you'd like to view or post within, follow these very quick and easy steps.
Go to the Home or Inbox tab in your Community - at the bottom of the screen in the Unibuddy app, or the left-hand navigation panel on desktop.
At the top of the screen, you'll see Select Community, with a dropdown menu.
Select the dropdown to choose the Community you'd like to view.
You'll find this dropdown menu both in your Home tab, so you can view Groups for that Community, and your Inbox tab, so you can view Updates, Group chats, and DMs for that specific Community.
