Custom filters are a really effective way to create an inclusive and empowering user experience on your Chat platform. Prospects will be able to filter specific fields and select ambassadors that align with their experiences, boostig their feelig of belonging at an early stage with your institution.
You are able to add as many custom fields as you would like on your University dashboard, although only 3-4 filters can be displayed on the widget itself at any time. Custom fields could be a degree-type field, student-type field (see an example below), ethnicity, a specific campus or even hobbies and interests. These fields need to be marked as active within your admin dashboard, for ambassadors to have the option to include them on their profiles as they set up or update their accounts.

Log into your University Dashboard.
Select the Ambassador option under the Customization drop-down menu.
Select the "Add New Field" feature at the bottom.

βThe final step is to ensure this new field is displayed on your Chat platform: in order for this to happen, simply click to select the box under the Use as Filter column, then click Save below.
