Why am I not receiving SMS notifications for chats?

Have SMS notifications switched on, but haven't received one? Here's why

There are a couple of reasons why you might not receive SMS notifications, despite having enabled them for your Unibuddy Ambassador account.

πŸ“³ To enable or disable notifications, log into your Ambassador Dashboard, and navigate to Settings. 

These are due to design logic that helps to make your experience as an ambassador that much more productive, and ensures you aren't spammed with messages to your device.

πŸ—’οΈ These reasons are as follows!

  • If you've been active within that particular chat/conversation within the last 5 seconds, you won't be sent a notification. We'll assume that as you're there, you've seen the new message.

  • If an SMS notification has already been sent for one conversation in the last 5 minutes, we won't double up and send you another one. We don't want to overload you with notifications from us.

  • If you have gone ahead and enabled both WhatsApp and SMS notifications, then WhatsApp notifications will take priority. We won't duplicate, and will only send notifications via WhatsApp. If you'd prefer SMS, just log into your Ambassador Dashboard and switch your Settings.
