How do I customise the automated Ambassador welcome message?

Customising the student or staff welcome message - automatically sent to prospects when they sign up to chat with an Ambassador

As a University Admin, you have the option to customise the template welcome message that is automatically sent to a prospect when they sign up to chat with a Student or Staff Ambassador.

You can review the default welcome message, or make your own changes, using the steps below:

  1. Log into your University Dashboard.

  2. Click Customisation in left hand navigation menu.

  3. Click Ambassadors in the sub menu.

  4. Select the relevant Staff or Student tab.

  5. Scroll down to Custom welcome message, at the bottom of the screen.

  6. Click into the Default welcome message text box, to make any changes.

  7. Click the Save button.

Note that you also have the option to let Ambassadors customise their own welcome message. You can enable this separately for Student and Staff Ambassadors - you may wish to save a default message that cannot be changed for Student Ambassadors, for example - but wish to allow Staff Ambassadors to make their own changes and tailor their welcome message to their role.

You can allow Ambassadors to edit their welcome message by following these steps:

  1. Log into your University Dashboard.

  2. Click Customisation in left hand navigation menu.

  3. Click Ambassadors in the sub menu.

  4. Select the relevant Staff or Student tab.

  5. Scroll down to Custom welcome message, at the bottom of the screen.

  6. Switch the green toggle on or off to allow or disallow Ambassadors to edit their own welcome message.
