Spaces are designed to help you explore your options, connect with other students, and feel more confident about your next steps!

As a student using the Unibuddy app, you may come across two types of Spaces:

  • Unibuddy Spaces – open to all students using the app

  • Community Spaces – created by universities you’ve joined

So, what’s the difference between the two?

Unibuddy Spaces

  • Open to all students using the Unibuddy app

  • Not linked to a specific university - you don’t need to join a university to access them

  • Great for exploring your options, connecting with other students, and asking questions, no matter where you are in your journey.

Community Spaces (within a university Community)

  • Created and managed by a university

  • Only available once you join that university’s Community

  • Focused on that university (accommodation, courses, life there)

  • Often include input from student ambassadors

👉 Community Spaces help you once you’re considering or joining a university

How to access Spaces

Getting started is easy: just sign up or log in to your Unibuddy account.

If you already have an account, simply log in using your existing details.

  • As a student, you can find Spaces in the Unibuddy app

  • Tap into the Spaces section to explore and join conversations

  • If you join a university Community, you’ll also see their Community Spaces

💡 Tip: Make sure you're using the latest version of the app to access the latest features and improvements.

👀 Why do Spaces sometimes change?

You might notice that what you see in Spaces changes over time.

For example, when you first start using the app, you may see more Unibuddy Spaces.
If you later join a university Community, your experience may change to include more Spaces from that university.

This reflects where you are in your journey, from exploring your options to connecting with a specific university.
