Unibuddy To-Dos is very simple to use! The below video takes you through this in your dashboard, or alternatively, scroll down to see a step by step guide.

πŸ“£ Please Note: You'll only see the To-Do tab in your community once you have published your To-Dos. If they are saved as drafts, the To-Do tab won't be visible within Community.

Adding a new To-Do

  1. Open your Community dashboard.

  2. You'll see the Manage To-Do Lists button, towards the top right.

  3. Click this, followed by Add To-Do.

  4. Give your To-Do - your task, event, or deadline - a clear and concise name.

  5. You have the option to add a description, this allows you to give students some more context - such as travel details for an event, or some details about an upcoming deadline.

  6. If there is a date or deadline associated with your To-Do, add this under 'Deadline'. This might be the date of your event, the date applications close, or the final deadline for housing allocation preferences.

  7. You are able to add a link to your To-Do - useful if you'd like to link to an event page, application portal, booking form, or similar.

  8. If you have multiple communities, you may not wish to add your To-Do to the To-Dos tab in all of these - it might not be relevant for Masters students, for example. The 'Communities to publish to' field enables you to choose which communities you would like this To-Do to be added to.

  9. You might be ready to publish your To-Do right away, in which case, you can leave 'Publish now' checked. If you would prefer to add your To-Dos into your dashboard, and then publish them at a later date, uncheck the 'Publish now' box.

  10. Click 'Add to-do' to save your new task, deadline, or event! You'll be able to go to 'Manage To-Do Lists' in your Community dashboard to publish or un-publish To-Dos as needed.

Once your To-Dos have been toggled to 'Publish', the To-Do tab will appear in your community, ready for students to engage with.
