Unibuddy To-Dos is very simple to use! The below video takes you through this in your dashboard, or alternatively, scroll down to see a step by step guide.

πŸ“£ Please Note: Only student users will see the To-Do tab in your community, once you have published your To-Dos. Admin and ambassadors won't see this tab - as this To-Do list is aimed at your students/offer holders!

Adding a new To-Do

  1. Open your Community dashboard.

  2. You'll see the Manage To-Do Lists button, towards the top right.

  3. Click this, followed by Add To-Do.

  4. Give your To-Do - your task, event, or deadline - a clear and concise name.

  5. You have the option to add a description, this allows you to give students some more context - such as travel details for an event, or some details about an upcoming deadline.

  6. If there is a date or deadline associated with your To-Do, add this under 'Deadline'. This might be the date of your event, the date applications close, or the final deadline for housing allocation preferences.

  7. You are able to add a link to your To-Do - useful if you'd like to link to an event page, application portal, booking form, or similar.

  8. If you have multiple communities, you may not wish to add your To-Do to the To-Dos tab in all of these - it might not be relevant for Masters students, for example. The 'Communities to publish to' field enables you to choose which communities you would like this To-Do to be added to.

  9. You also have the option to choose the cohort that your To-Dos are sent to - either International, Domestic, or All students. You might have visa, travel, or fee information that you only wish to be sent to international offer holders in your UG community, as an example.

  10. You might be ready to publish your To-Do right away, in which case, you can leave 'Publish now' checked. If you would prefer to add your To-Dos into your dashboard, and then publish them at a later date, uncheck the 'Publish now' box.

  11. Click 'Add to-do' to save your new task, deadline, or event! You'll be able to go to 'Manage To-Do Lists' in your Community dashboard to publish or un-publish To-Dos as needed.

  12. The three dots to the right of each 'To-Do' gives you the option to edit or delete your To-Do list items, to keep these relevant and refreshed.

Once your To-Dos have been toggled to 'Publish', they will appear in your community, ready for students to engage with.
