If you have uploaded your profile image and it's appearing; upside down, back to front, or rotated to the left or right, then please follow the easy steps below to rectify the issue:
Open File Explorer and find the JPEG file you are trying to upload.
Go to the View menu on top and click on Details (or you can just right-click anywhere on the right panel and select View > Details).
Go back to the View menu again, but now click on "Add columns" and then "Choose columns...".
Scroll down to Orientation and tick the box next to it, then click "OK".
You will now be able to see the Orientation column on File Explorer.
The files that are described as ‘Normal’ in this column are orientated the right way, however, if it says ‘Rotate X degrees’ then you’ll need to follow the next steps to rectify it.
To edit the file right click on the image and select "Open with" and choose Paint.
Opening the photo with Paint should automatically reorient it to appear the right way. You don’t need to do anything other than opening it in Paint.
Do not perform any rotation, just click the ‘Save’ icon.
The orientation column on File Explorer should now appear as ‘Normal’ and your photo should upload to Unibuddy the right way up!
❓ Please note the “Rotate Left” or “Rotate Right” options will not rectify this issue.
