How are Year of Entry options managed?
When prospective students sign up, they may be asked to select their expected Month and Year of Entry.
You can configure the Months of Entry available to prospective students from your University Dashboard:
Customisation → Prospects
The Years of Entry are automatically set up and cannot currently be individually added or removed. Unibuddy displays upcoming entry dates based on the Month(s) of Entry you have configured, and entry dates that have passed automatically drop off.
You do not need to manually remove an entry date once it has passed. Unibuddy automatically updates the available options as time progresses.
For example: if your configured Months of Entry are January and September, and the current date is August 2026:
January 2026 will no longer appear because that entry date has already passed.
September 2026 will still appear because that entry date is upcoming.
Once September 2026 has passed and we move into October 2026, September 2026 will no longer appear.
Future January and September entry dates will continue to be available as part of the automatically generated upcoming options.
Can I remove a specific Year of Entry?
It is not currently possible to manually remove an individual Year of Entry while keeping the corresponding Month of Entry available.
For example, if September is one of your configured Months of Entry, you cannot manually remove only September 2026 while continuing to display September for future years.
The older entry date will automatically disappear as the available years move forward.
Can I change the Months of Entry?
Yes. Your available Months of Entry can be managed from:
University Dashboard → Customisation → Prospects
Before removing a month, we recommend checking whether it is still required for any of your future intakes, as changing the configured month may also affect the options available to prospective students for future years.
