See your key Unibuddy metrics, spot what needs your attention and understand the story behind your data, all in one place.

Coming soon....

This feature is expected to become available shortly. We’re publishing this guidance in advance so you can familiarise yourself with how it works.

We’ll update this article once the feature is live.

Until now, understanding your overall Unibuddy performance has meant moving between Assistant, Chat and Community and piecing the information together yourself.

The new Home experience in the University Dashboard brings those key metrics, trends and insights into one scroll, helping you quickly understand what’s working, what needs your attention and where to focus next.

Use it as a starting point for performance reviews, team check-ins and enrolment planning.

What the new Home experience helps you do

  • See your most important performance and ROI metrics in one place

  • Spend less time comparing data across different reports

  • Quickly identify changes that may need investigating

  • Understand what is driving the numbers through conversational insights

  • Make more informed decisions about where to focus your time

💡 Good to know: The information displayed depends on the Unibuddy products available to your institution. For example, institutions that do not use Assistant will not see Assistant metrics, while Community-only institutions will only see Community data.

If there isn’t enough data to calculate a metric or comparison, you may see an empty state instead.

Review your key metrics

The Core Metrics section brings together headline metrics from across your Unibuddy products.

Depending on the products available to your institution, this may include:

  • Chat sign-ups

  • messages sent by prospective students

  • Assistant conversations

  • leads generated

Use the dropdowns to view your data over the last:

  • 30 days

  • 90 days

  • 12 months

You can compare the selected period with the previous equivalent period or the equivalent period last year. Each card shows the metric and how it has changed based on your selected comparison.

Select a card to open the relevant analytics area of the University Dashboard and explore the data in more detail.

💡 Good to know: An increase or decrease is not necessarily positive or negative on its own. Consider the context, such as your recruitment cycle, campaigns and changes in website traffic, when reviewing your results.

Review actions due

The Actions Due section highlights items that require an admin to review or complete. These can include:

  • Chat or Community moderation reports that need reviewing

  • Ambassador content awaiting approval

Each item shows its priority and links to the relevant area of the University Dashboard, where you can review the details and take action.

💡 Good to know: The home page does not replace the existing moderation or content-management pages. It gives you a quicker way to see when something is waiting for you.

Identify changes that need attention

The Needs Attention section automatically highlights significant changes that may need investigating.

For these alerts, the Home experience compares the most recent 30 days with the previous 30 days.

This can include:

  • a decline in Chat sign-ups or leads from a particular source

  • a decline in new conversations

  • slower response times from staff or Student Ambassadors

Each item is prioritised as P1, P2 or P3, based on the type and size of the change.

Select an item to open the relevant area of the University Dashboard and investigate it in more detail.

💡 Good to know: The Home experience identifies where attention may be needed, but it does not recommend or complete actions on your behalf.

Understand what students are talking about

The Strategic Insights & Focus Areas section helps you understand the story behind your performance data by analysing themes within Chat conversations.

It highlights trending topics from the previous two weeks, including:

  • Topics students are discussing most

  • Common questions students are asking

  • Insights from international and domestic students

Select a topic to open a side panel showing a summary of the related conversations and the common questions students have asked.

You can use these insights to identify information gaps, brief your Student Ambassadors and plan content around subjects that matter to your audience.

Does the home page replace the existing dashboards?

No. It sits above the existing product-level dashboards and brings the most important signals into one place. You can still open the relevant product area when you need more detail.

Do I need to configure it?

No. The dashboard uses the data available within your institution’s Unibuddy account and does not require you to build your own reports.

Can I customise the Home experience?

Not currently. The information displayed is based on the Unibuddy products available to your institution and cannot be rearranged or customised.

How are insights generated?

The dashboard uses your Unibuddy data to identify trends, changes and common themes. These insights provide context around what your metrics are showing.

Can I share or export the information?

There is currently no sharing or export option.

Will it help me demonstrate the value of Unibuddy?

The dashboard brings key performance and return-on-investment metrics into one view, making it easier to understand and communicate how your Unibuddy activity is performing.

Coming soon

We’ll update this article as these features become available.
