Gamification adds simple game-like elements such as badges, milestones and challenges into everyday experiences to increase motivation and participation.

In Community, this means students receive small rewards for positive actions, helping to drive engagement and re-engagement.

These features help prospects build stronger connections with your institution and move more confidently through the funnel.

How it works

Students can now earn badges in the Community based on their activity in the app.

Current badges include:

  • Profile completed

  • First Community joined

  • First Group joined

  • First message sent

  • First DM started

Badges appear in the student’s profile and update automatically as they complete actions.

Why this matters

  • Encourages prospects to return to the platform

  • Reinforces positive behaviour such as completing profiles or joining conversations

  • Supports conversion by keeping students active and connected

  • Helps Admins understand which actions are driving engagement

There is no setup required. Badges are enabled by default for all Community users.

What’s coming next

Gamification will evolve in phases. Future improvements may include:

  • Streak rewards

  • Leaderboards

  • Progress bars

  • Challenges for prospects and Ambassadors

  • More behavioural insights for Admins

As we run experiments, you’ll see updates that refine and expand how Community motivates students to stay active.
