Starting your higher education journey is a huge transition, and one thing thats proven to make this easier is getting a step ahead and meeting your new roommates and classmates before you even step foot on campus.
🏘️ You can now share your university housing on your Community profile, or select that you're looking for private housing - which means you can filter and search for other people in the same campus accommodation as you, or find others also looking to rent a house or apartment in your new area! 🏘️
✅ How does it work?
Log into your Community, and go to your profile by tapping the profile thumbnail in the top right
You'll see the new housing options under My student housing - choose 'Looking for private housing', 'Assigned university housing', or 'None of the above'
If you've chosen 'Assigned university housing', an extra field will appear, where you can free type the name of your dorm, accommodation, or halls of residence (Note that you should type the name as it appears on official documentation from the university - to have more chance of finding others!)
Click or tap Save to save your changes
🏡 How do I find my housemates?
Once you've added your housing details to your profile, go to the People tab in Community
Use the filters under Student housing to search for others - you can either look for people seeking private housing, or choose to look for students in a specific university accommodation
Message people to make connections!
