How do I edit/delete my Unibuddy profile?

How can I update my profile, or delete my Unibuddy account?

Your Unibuddy profile is all about you, so it’s important that it reflects the information you want to share. You may wish to update your details if something changes, or simply to keep your profile feeling current.

And if you ever decide you no longer want to use Unibuddy, you’re always in control - you can permanently delete your account at any time.


✍🏼 How to Edit Your Profile Settings

📲 You can quickly and easily make changes to your profile in the Unibuddy app, whenever and as often as you like. Here's how:

  1. Open or log into your Unibuddy app.

  2. Click the Profile icon in the bottom-right of the screen.

  3. Make any changes to your Profile - your first or last name, profile picture, where you're from, your bio, pronouns, and interests.

  4. Scroll down > click Save.


🖥️ Don't have the Unibuddy app? Not to worry - follow these steps to update your profile on desktop:

  1. On a desktop or laptop browser, log into any university’s Unibuddy Chat platform / widget, by clicking Sign up at the top-right, and then clicking Sign in.

  2. Go to the Settings tab.

  3. Scroll down and click Edit next to the field you’d like to update.

  4. Make your changes, then select Save.

Note you are only change your email address using the desktop version.

If you were previously invited to a Community, you will need to ask the university to send you a new invite to your new email/


🚮 Deleting your account

  • On the Unibuddy app, you'll find the Delete Account option at the bottom of your Profile tab, underneath the Logout button.

  • On desktop / laptop browser, you’ll find the Delete Account option at the bottom of the Settings page.

  • Important: If your account is linked to more than one university, deleting it will permanently remove your profile from all universities. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. Please proceed with caution.
