1 Live Streaming

Enrich your live events by including live audio/visual streaming and screen sharing capabilities to your live feeds. If you'd like to know more about Unibuddy Live Events with Live Video Streaming please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager

1.1 Adding a Live Stream to a Live Event

When creating or editing a live event, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the second tab ‘2. Live Feeds’.

  2. Click ‘Add Live Feed’

  3. Click the toggle next ‘Add Live streaming’;

This will enable live streaming capabilities for this channel. Add your staff and student ambassadors just like you would for a regular live feed - you can also select staff and student ambassadors as video stream hosts.

1.2 Adding Sessions

After you have saved your live stream. An option to add sessions will appear at the bottom under Session Information. This is used to let prospective students know when they can expect the live elements of the event to take place. See steps below to set this up:

If live feed already opened:

  1. To edit this click "Add Another Session" button.

  2. Fill in the form as per below.

  3. Click "Save Session" button.

If not opened:

  1. Click "Live Feeds" tab.

  2. Click "Edit Live Stream" link.

  3. Fill in the form as per below.

  4. Click "Save Session" button.

Name: This will be the title of the live session, and is displayed in the sidebar of the live event, as well as under the video area.

Description: Describe the session due to take place, and add links to any additional resources that could promote discussion or that students might find useful

Start/End Time: Must be within the start and end time of the live event

Cover image: Upload a cover image to be displayed in the time leading up to the live session taking place (recommended dimensions 700x420px).

You can come back and edit your live feed sessions before and during the event start.

1.3 Points to remember

  • Your Customer Success Manager will be able to share some walk through videos with you. Please contact them directly for these.

  • Admins will automatically be able to live stream, particular staff and student ambassadors must be selected to be video stream hosts.

  • Only one live feed per event can have live streaming capabilities added to it.

  • You are not able to edit live sessions once their start times have elapsed.

  • Adding live streaming capability to your live event incurs an additional cost which scales dependent on your use - please contact your Customer Success Manager for more details
